Because of her family's high rank, they spent some time in Garlemald in the Garlean court, which is where she spent some time with the royal family's crown prince, Zenos. They stayed friends and wrote to one another well after she left. She'd always felt a disconnect to the other Doman families they'd see who still clung to the old ways, considering the Garleans had occupied that land since before she was born.Upon the beginning of the Doman uprising, seeing her family's guards hurt the common folk who lived nearby, their supposed own people, sparked something in her. Mizuki doesnt become a Warrior of Light until this time, around the start of Stormblood. She can have met your Warrior of Light here, or any point after this. She is unfamiliar with anything not in the East of Eorzea, only having spent brief times in these places.
- Domans do not worship the gods that Eorzeans do, so she does not have one.
- She would also likely have a different way of speech, as well as an accent to someone not from the East of Eorzea.
- Similar to this, lots of Eorzean food, fashion, etc. will be foreign to her for the most part. Her family was pretty closed off from anything besides where she lived and Garlemald.

Aydan Isyndir: Father-like figure, very close friend and confidant.
Vilyette Lionnellais: Mother-like figure, Mizuki latched onto her when they met.
Lorelai Ylesar: Friend and fellow Scion, something of a brother to Mizuki.
Miia Izumi: Fellow Warrior of Light, and traveling
companion. Met on an earlier Scion mission.
Zenos yae Galvus: Met at an early age thanks to their parents, lifelong friend and annoyance. Mizuki was wed to him at one point. They were separated quickly after, and Mizuki shortly after took up adventuring, etc.
Asahi Naeuri: Met because of similar family rank and age. They have a bit of an odd history together.
Yotsuyu Goe-Brutus: Similar story to Asahi, but they related a bit better because they were both girls growing up in similar situations. They both met and interacted long before either of them turned out to be as hardened as we come to know them.
