Because of her family's high rank, they spent some time in Garlemald in the Garlean court, which is where she spent some time with the royal family's crown prince, Zenos. They stayed friends and wrote to one another well after she left. She'd always felt a disconnect to the other Doman families they'd see who still clung to the old ways, considering the Garleans had occupied that land since before she was born.Upon the beginning of the Doman uprising, seeing her family's guards hurt the common folk who lived nearby, their supposed own people, sparked something in her. It led to the voice of Hydaelyn reaching out to her, and calling her to action. Mizuki doesnt become a Warrior of Light until this time, around the start of Stormblood. She can have met your Warrior of Light here, or any point after this. She is unfamiliar with anything not in the East of Eorzea, only having spent brief times in these places.
- Domans do not worship the gods that Eorzeans do, so she does not have one.
- She would also likely have a different way of speech, as well as an accent to someone not from the East of Eorzea.
- Similar to this, lots of Eorzean food, fashion, etc. will be foreign to her for the most part. Her family was pretty closed off from anything besides where she lived and Garlemald.
